Meli, Me and Jason Aldean!

It was a GNO for Melissa and me and oh yeah, Jason Aldean came along for the ride!

After dancing like wild women for 3 hours, I can honestly say that we got our money's worth - although the people sitting behind us might disagree due to their obstructed view! It was a night filled with many laughs, some crazy loud singing, lots of head banging and moves that most people have never seen before! Looking forward to doing it again hopefully someday soon!
And, what exactly is TOKY???

Thursday Morning Fever...

For those of you who were wondering what a Thursday Morning Fever (not to be confused with Saturday Night Fever) looked like - here it is.

One extremely high energy kid who NEVER takes naps is currently wrapped in his Warriors/Boise State Broncos blankie and is out cold on the couch. Poor little T-Bone.

Rainbow Connection...

Sing with me (and Kermit the Frog)...

Why are there so many
Songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side
Rainbow's are visions
They're only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we've been told and some chose to believe it
But I know they're wrong wait and see
Someday we'll find it
The Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
And look what it's done so far
What's so amazing
That keeps us star gazing
What do we think we might see
Someday we'll find it
That Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

Have you been half asleep
And have you heard voices
I've heard them calling my name
Are these the sweet sounds
That called the young sailors
I think they're one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
There's something that I'm supposed to be
Someday we'll find it
The Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

6 Games, A Couple Trophies and One Giant Bleacher Butt!

After watching 6 basketball games, chewing off all of my fingernails and pretty much feeling like every last nerve had been shot - our basketball tournament came to a close!

In between bouts of coughing her head off, Madison was a force to be reckoned with on the court. In a couple of the most stressful games I have ever watched, she, along with her teammates pulled off a one-point win in the first game. This sent her into the Championship round and into a battle that will not soon be forgotten. Our girls were able to hold on to the lead until the last few minutes when we ended up losing by 4 points. In my book, victory was still won by our girls. They played hard, played together and didn't let the fact that they were playing the spawn of Satan shake them. Ok - I am TOTALLY kidding about the Satan's spawn part, sort of. :)

After being activated as the only 2nd grader playing on a 4th/5th grade team - Markie and his boys played hard and strong but fell short on the scoreboard. They lost their first game which sent them into their next game battling for 3rd place. With a trophy at stake, our boys turned on the heat and pulled off a win!

After spending 9 hours in a gym watching 6 basketball games, I can honestly say that my butt has never been flatter - not a look I was going for but one that I ended up with anyways. Hopefully today things will return to their previous state of perfection. HAHAHAHA!!!!! Obviously, I am kidding here!
